About Me
Hi, I’m Jack. Growing up, it wasn’t unusual to hear the sound of walls being torn apart in my house. My dad, a mechanical engineer, was always uncovering old wires or trying to fix something. Watching him work sparked my curiosity about how things work, and by the time I got to college, I knew exactly what I wanted to be: a mechanical engineer, builder, and designer. Now a senior studying Mechanical Engineering and pursuing Northwestern’s Segal Design Certificate, I’m especially interested in manufacturing and product design. When I see a problem, I start with extensive background research, brainstorm around user needs, and iterate through prototypes until I create a mockup that I can use as a starting point. When I’m not in the shop making something, you can find me watching football or at the gym.
